Random things.

Reading a newspaper on the train. There is a noticeable increase in lottery tickets sales. I so understand why people are going for it. Many years ago, I also turned to lottery as I needed quickly to come up with the tuition money to go into the program that I wanted. As I was buying lottery tickets for a month, I was winning small sums just to cover the money I spent on the tickets. On the other hand the boyfriend who decided to buy one ticket just for fun, won twice as much. Still it wasn't enough, not even close. After thinking about it I decided to get a job. When I had the money I decided not to get into the program. Sometimes I am wondering what would've happened if I would win the money.

There is a Dunkin' Donuts on my train station, sometimes when I feel especially groggy in the morning I buy a latte for the train ride. There are two people behind the counter one male one female, and the man doesn't know what vanilla means. Every-time I ask I never get it. Trying to stay positive I always say to myself, that it is probably better for my health to drink latte with no sugar. This is probably why I still give him a chance sometimes.

The colorful lady walked into the bus as I was coming home from work. The usual crowd on the bus mostly looks like me, working professionals who are wearing "business-casual" clothes. I would've thought that she is wearing a costume but after couple glances it seemed that this clothes was the only thing that she wore for a few months. As a middle age woman in leopard patterned mini-dress and black shiny boots on high thick hills, she really stood out. She was wearing a scarf around her head and a hat also leopard patterned. The ensemble was finished with a brown leather vest with the rivets, the leopard fabric wrapped around her knees and a brown leather bag with the chain hanging from it, which the lady was slowly swinging as she seemed to be deep in her thoughts.

So today is the month since I started this blog and the goal date is reached. Yey to me!

Did I gain anything from this experience? Sure, it is a really great way to organize thoughts. Also it helps me to express myself in English a little bit better. I am going to continue writing at least once a week, and I think it will be on Mondays. Of course if something interesting happens I will write more often.

I still haven't figured out what I should do next. I would like to draw more, but it takes more time, so I need to figure out how to fit it into my schedule. And more importantly, what I want to draw and in what medium. I am going take a week to think it over and I still need to unpack the rest of the boxes.

This is it for today, time to take a bath, go to bed, and start a new week.
